Portrait of Muhammet Dikyurt

About

I'm Muhammet Dikyurt. I write every page on businessentitysearch.net.

I build and run a small portfolio of niche websites, mostly around US company formation. I work as a solo operator: I make the products, write the content, and run the systems behind them.

What this site is

businessentitysearch.net is a guide to looking up US business entity records. No search system covers every company in the US from one place. Each state keeps its own records and has its own search page, so the pages here are written one state at a time.

It is an independent guide, not a government website. The place to start is the business entity search guide on the home page.

Years of research on US companies

US companies have held my interest for years. In that time I have done a great deal of research on how they are formed and where their records are kept, and I have published a lot of content on the subject.

The data behind the pages

I keep my own database covering all 50 states, and I keep it current. When I write a page, I work from that database so that no detail is skipped.

A preview of it is public. The sample repository on GitHub holds one sample record from each namespace. It is there to show the method behind the data.

How the pages are written

  • I run the searches myself on the official state portals and check the results by hand before I write about them.
  • The screenshots are from those searches, and each caption carries the date it was taken.
  • Every page is signed and dated. When a page changes, its update date changes with it.

How I started

I built my first website in the early 2000s with Microsoft FrontPage, while working in the R&D department of an IT company. It was a hobby project: a small support portal for the office.

I enjoyed it, so I made another one. Then another. When I returned from military service in 2005 I discovered WordPress, and I spent the next twenty years building dozens of niche sites.

The habit is unchanged since that first FrontPage page: make something useful and put it online.

Startupsole LLC in the records

I am a co-founder of Startupsole LLC. Its record is in New Mexico, and the contact address on its website is in Sheridan, Wyoming. I use it as an example in the home guide because it shows the point in one picture: the state in a company's address is not always the state that holds its record.
