What the pages are

Each guide reports what the author saw on official state portals, record by record, on the days named on the page. The screenshots are of public records and carry the date they were taken. A portal may have changed its fields, its words or its address since; the record you open today is the one that counts, not the one on this page.

No lookups, no records

The site does not search for companies on request, does not hold copies of records, and cannot change anything held by a state. The main guide says where each state's search page is.

Named companies

Companies named in the guides appear as examples of how records look. Nothing on this site says that a named company is good or bad to do business with.

Corrections

If a page is wrong, say so through the Contact page. Corrections are made with a dated note.
